HONORING COWGIRL BETSY KLIPSTEIN LANIER!
Cowgirl member Betsy Lanier will share her experiences of growing up on the Klipstein Ranch, north of Cheyenne, when the place was considered remote. Stories of being a member of 4-H and raising and showing animals and sewing for 4-H projects, doing style shows and riding horses, and performing with her sisters as the Klipstein Sisters singing group at local events. Join us as we honor and learn more about Betsy!
Opening events include: Western Silent Auction, MISS FRONTIER and Her Lady-in-Waiting, and USA RODEO QUEENS, a scrumptious, hearty Brunch, Raffle & Wine Pull, TRADER BARB’S stunning western jewelry, western photo booth, and much more. Plus, we will have special videos from Longmire author Craig Johnson, and country music star Reba McEntire congratulating the Cowgirls on our 30th anniversary!
About the Fashion Show: In celebration of our 30th anniversary, we are thrilled to announce that our show this year will be a Historical Fashion Show presented by the WHEELS Organization which is celebrating their 100th anniversary this year! Vintage fashions of the late 1800’s will be featured, along with descriptions of how those dresses worked on the plains with sod houses, dirt & dust, and what in the world was under some of those fabulous flowing dresses.
More than a fashion show, this will be a fascinating history of how women dressed in the days gone-by!
